Contemporary Christian music artists Switchfoot play a vigorous concert for an enthusiastic hometown audience on Live in San Diego. While eschewing overt references to faith in Christ, songwriter and frontman Jonathan Foreman repeatedly exhorts fans to take control of their lives and become more serious people. Ironically, Switchfoot could embrace that same advice when it comes to their music, which is too safe (same tempo, same vocal on everything) and diffuse to make the impact the band could make if it tried.
